One part of turf care is the treatment of the weeds and insects for your turf grass. When you are responsible for the care of the lawn, it is the responsibility of the lawn company to make sure weeds are at a minimal (under 10%) and that you have turf damaging insects in check. While both of these concerns can and will always be a challenge, the one and only thing that is more important in a turf care program. FOLLOW UP. It does not make any difference how good or great your weed control or insect control technique is, if you do not follow up you will fail. After every regular treatment, you will receive a 16-21 day follow up to address any concerns, followed by a written report.

Lawn aeration involves the removal of small soil plugs or cores out of the lawn. Aeration holes are typically 1-6 inches deep and 2-6 inches apart. Aeration can extract 1/2 to 3/4 inch diameter cores of soil and deposits them on your lawn. This type of service helps control thatch buildup, and can also help compacted and heavily used turf. Aerated soil is great for new plants to grow. Before you begin with any Aeration Program it is important to know three questions.
How do I know if I need to aerate? What will aeration do for my lawn? When should I aerate? We offer two different treatments for White Fly. The Injection Method is the most popular over the past few years. It’s quick to treat and will
last in the tree anywhere from 8 months to 12 months or even longer. It’s also
green friendly as no chemicals are sprayed into the air.Drench/Spray Method: For this method both spraying of the foliage and the drenching must be done for control to work, especially the drench as this is the main control when doing this method. That chemical will be taken up through the roots and translocate to the top where the insects are feeding, this take three to four weeks. Once the product is up there any insects feeding on the tree, shrub or palm will die. Typically the insect control will last in the plant for eight to ten months or longer. The spray on the foliage is to get instant control on any hatched whiteflies and to clean up any sooty mold present. The foliar DOSE NOT kill the eggs and that is why both the drench and spray must both be done at the same time.

Insects, disease, traffic damage, spills and many other conditions can create damaging sections to your turf grass. With proper maintenance (Saint Augustine) these areas can fill in but some areas can be too large and need attention right away. Reason for such attention would be that other grasses (which cannot be controlled with weed control) will infiltrate your desired grass and create uneven heights and different colors in your turf grass. Broadleaf weeds will also spring up and spread their seeds quickly to other areas of your lawn. Weed control begins with proper management practices that encourage a dense, thriving turf. Healthy turf shades the soil so sunlight can't reach weed seeds that are ready to germinate. A thick turf also minimizes the physical space available for weeds to become established. Adding plugs or sod to areas with spotty, damaged, thin or just hard to grow areas will help fill in these areas and rejuvenate a lawn.
Our culture is changing and we are learning (in many ways) on how we should treat our mother earth. Many Organic and Natural Pest Controls have been on the market for many many years and while the new Organic and Pest Control are being updated many of these products are just as good as synthetic pesticides. If you prefer that these be used we can discuss what products will suit your property.
